ONE

BIG

FAMILY

We are a church family here at Reedy River; we seek to show what that truly means. The desire to grow God's family and thrive as a part of God's family is massively important to us. We honor what the early Church set up in that we support each other through life, encourage both Biblical and Spiritual growth, and seek to spread God's Gospel message to our local/world wide community. Church Family is important to daily walking through life as a Christ follower and Reedy River focuses on that.

Our Beliefs

The Bible tells us in Psalm 119:160 “The sum of your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.”

We need to align our lives under the authority of the Bible.  Many homes today have a Bible in every room, but just because you have God’s word available, doesn’t mean you are benefiting from it. We need to read the Bible, remember the Bible, and most importantly apply the Bible to our lives. God desires that we take His inspired word seriously as Christians.  If you are not a Christian and you would like to know more about Jesus Christ, please read the following below.

God Loves You

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”   Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead.

If you were to die today, do you know that your sins are forgiven, and you are on your way to heaven to spend eternity with Jesus Christ?  Good News!  You can know.

Man's sin separates him from god
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death [separation from a Holy God], but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Sin carries with it a penalty and it must be dealt with.

Jesus is the Only Answer to Man's Sin

Titus 3:5 “He saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done, but according to His [God] mercy He has saved us."  You cannot save yourself from your sin.

Ephesians: 2:8-9 says, "Salvation is by God’s grace through faith, not by your good works."

Romans 5:8 says, “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”  God proved His unconditional love for all mankind by sending his Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  One believes with the heart resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.”   You must acknowledge and believe this fact in order to be saved.

Accept Jesus by Faith

God has offered mankind the greatest gift of all, and He desires for us to accept it.  If you would like to receive the gift of salvation, you can pray a prayer like this:

Dear God, I know I’m a sinner. I realize You love me and want to save me. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I turn from my sin and, by faith, receive You into my life as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and save me, Lord Jesus. In Jesus name I pray! Amen.

If you prayed to receive Christ, we rejoice with you!  Please contact our church (864) 834-7681 or email us so we can know about your decision to follow Jesus.  We pray God will bless you!

Sincerely, Pastor Josh Slatten
