What happens when you bring together the Holy Spirit into three evenings, a whole lot of fun, some incredible volunteers, and kids ready for an adventure?
You get a week we won’t soon forget!
This summer, Reedy River Baptist Church welcomed children and families from our church and community for Trail Blazers, our three-day church camp designed to help kids have fun, build friendships, and—most importantly—discover more about what it means to follow God and blaze a trail for the faith.
And what an adventure it was!
Three Nights of Faith, Fun & Friendship
Each evening, our Trail Blazers gathered for dinner before heading into a night filled with games, activities, laughter, and opportunities to learn more about God.
But Trail Blazers was about much more than keeping kids busy for a few summer evenings.
Our hope from the beginning was to create a place where children felt welcomed, loved, and excited to be at church—and where families from our surrounding community could walk through our doors and discover that there is a place for them here.
We were especially excited to welcome new children and families who joined us for the first time!
Throughout the three nights, kids learned biblical truths about following God, experienced the joy of being part of a community, made new friends, and created plenty of fun summer memories along the way.
It Took a Church to Blaze the Trail
An event like Trail Blazers doesn't happen without people willing to serve.
From preparing and serving meals to leading activities, teaching, welcoming families, helping behind the scenes, setting up, cleaning up, encouraging children, and jumping in wherever help was needed, our volunteers made these three nights possible.
To every person who gave their time, energy, resources, prayers, and talents: thank you.
You didn't simply help us host an event. You helped create a place where children could hear about Jesus and families could experience the love of His Church.
And to every parent, grandparent, and caregiver who trusted us with your children: thank you for sharing them with us! We loved getting to know them.
The Trail Doesn't End Here
Trail Blazers may have only lasted three nights, but we pray the seeds planted during those nights will continue to grow.
One of the greatest joys of this year's camp was meeting families we hadn't met before. That's exactly why reaching beyond the walls of our church matters so much.
We want Reedy River Baptist Church to be a place where families in our community know they are welcome—not just for a special event or summer camp, but every week.
So if Trail Blazers was your family's first experience with Reedy River, we'd love to see you again!
Join us on Sunday, bring the kids, and come as you are. There's a place for your family here.
To everyone who prayed, served, participated, invited a neighbor, brought a friend, or helped make Trail Blazers possible: thank you for helping us blaze a trail into our community.
What an incredible three days—and we can't wait to see where God leads us next!
